Kenneth Mathews has been the manager of our Houston school, located at David Wayne Hooks Airport (DWH) in Spring, Texas, for 3 and a half years. Kenneth is a native of Louisiana and a graduate from Louisiana Tech, where he majored in Aviation Management, in 2006. After graduating from college, Kenneth moved to Spring and began working for Gil Aviation at DWH.

During his time working for the local fixed-based operator (FBO), Kenneth made many friends at the airport and left quite an impression on the American Flyers team. His dedication to customer service, positive attitude and passion for aviation were prevalent from the start. After many conversations, we finally persuaded Kenneth to join the team.

On a recent visit to the Houston office, I asked Kenneth how things were going; his response was inspiring, “I love interacting with our students, finding out what they need and helping them achieve their goals.” During Kenneth’s time with American Flyers, we have seen a lot of growth at our Houston school. More importantly, we have seen hundreds of students begin and finish their flight training with American Flyers. Most return for future training because of the trust Kenneth has instilled during their time with the Houston team.

We’re proud of Kenneth and our entire Houston team. Thank you for all that you do for American Flyers!
