Requirements

GROUND TRAINING

Approximately 4–6 Hours

To legally and safely exercise the ability to operate at night, a pilot must first develop a firm foundation in night flying regulations, human factors, and specialized planning procedures. These necessary aviation fundamentals are covered in ground training sessions designed for a thorough understanding of the night environment.

The Flight Training portion of the Sport Pilot – Night Training Course ensures you possess the necessary aeronautical experience and skill to consistently and proficiently manage all operations required for the night endorsement. This practical portion of the course focuses on developing night proficiency, cross-country operations, and handling emergency scenarios, ensuring you meet the FAA’s standard for safe night integration.

Transition to Night Operations
