Aviation Year in Review

When the clock strikes midnight on December 31st, American Flyers will be celebrating our 83rd year in flight training. That is remarkable when you stop and think about it. You might wonder, how does a flight school stay in business for over 80 years? That’s a great question, one we think about every single day.

At American Flyers, we do our best to invest in our employees and provide our customers with the best customer service possible. By investing in our employees, we have been able to work with amazing people who have developed into wonderful flight instructors, airline pilots, mechanics, and business managers. We have been lucky enough to have some employees that have been with us for 50 years!

We’re also incredibly blessed to have some amazing customers. Some students have been coming to us since their first flight. Many continue to come in for proficiency training while others renew their CFIs through our Flight Instructor Renewal Course (FIRC). Believe it or not, we have some current students whose father and grandfather trained with us many years ago.

Like most of you, we are creating goals for 2022. First and foremost, regardless of the opportunities brought on by the pilot shortage, we are committed to strategic growth. That means your program will always be our top priority. When you come into a school, all of our employees will know you by name, where you are in your training, and what you need to do to complete it. That is what makes American Flyers unique. We are 100% committed to you, the customer. Regardless of whether you are a member of our CFI academy, airline academy, or a student that is training in a one-on-one program, we will treat you like you are our only student.

If you are interested in joining American Flyers as a student, I would encourage you to visit our website, www.AmericanFlyers.com, or call a member of our National Support Team at 1-800-362-0808. One of our team members will be looking forward to speaking with you about your training and what you need to complete your aviation goals. If you’re near one of our 6 locations, please stop by and say hello. We would love to see you.

If you are interested in a wonderful career with us, please visit our job opportunities page at, www.americanflyers.com/about/employment/. If you are serious about employment, please fill out an application and we will reach out to you so that we can talk about our various employment opportunities. We are always looking for hard-working individuals that are dedicated to their students.

To all those of you that have been a part of American Flyers’ past and present, thank you for being a valued customer or employee. We appreciate you and hope 2022 brings you much joy and happiness. For those of you that we will meet next year, we are excited to meet you and look forward to helping you achieve your goals. Happy holidays and happy new year!
