LOGAN THRAILKILL JOINED AMERICAN FLYERS IN JULY 2022 as an instructor at our Addison, TX – North location after completing his pilot training and obtaining his certifications from the American Flyers Pompano Beach, Florida location. Originally from Houston, Texas, Logan lived in various parts of the country before kickstarting his aviation career.

Following high school graduation, Logan attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, earning a degree in Agricultural Leadership, Education and Development, and a minor in Digital Media. Logan played baseball on the Texas A&M Club Baseball Team and worked for 12th Man Production producing big-screen content and feature videos for the various A&M athletic teams. After graduating from Texas A&M, Logan was offered a position in Kansas City, MO, where he continued his video production career with the MLB Kansas City Royals team. That career eventually took him to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he became the Digital Media Coordinator for Nova Southeastern University’s athletic department, a Division II university in South Florida.

Logan knew he would someday become a pilot because he always loved aviation, but he was unsure of where to begin that process. As his passion grew, he began researching how and where to make his dream a reality. In the summer of 2021, Logan switched careers and joined the American Flyers Airline Academy in Pompano Beach, Florida. For the next nine months, his aviation knowledge and skillsets grew tremendously, and he earned his pilot certificates up to CFI-A/CFI-I. With graduation behind him and his desire to be closer to home, Logan moved back to Texas and, in July 2022, joined American Flyers in Addison, Texas, as a flight instructor. Currently, he serves as Assistant Chief Flight Instructor, allowing him to share his passion for aviation and impact the education and training of both students and instructors alike.

Aside from his professional responsibilities, Logan has various hobbies and passions outside of flying. He loves golfing, spending time outdoors with his dog Kinsley, cooking, and building Legos (he is currently working on a model B-17 Flying Fortress).
