My ultimate goal in aviation is to become an airline pilot and one day work for American Airlines. I love training new pilots and seeing their progress from day one through solo flights and check rides. Watching students learn and gain confidence in the cockpit is incredibly rewarding. The friendly and welcoming environment of American Flyers is definitely my favorite part of working here.
My favorite part of training new pilots is watching them progress from beginners to full-fledged aviators. There’s nothing quite like witnessing their growth during the training process. Being part of the American Flyers team is fantastic due to the friendly and supportive environment. Everyone is helpful, and the instructors are highly knowledgeable and easy to get along with. I also plan to earn my Multi-Engine rating soon, with the ultimate goal of becoming an airline captain.
I am currently working toward my R-ATP minimum certification with the goal of becoming a captain at United Airlines and a check airman. The best part of training new pilots is their eagerness to learn and witnessing their hard work pay off as everything clicks. I love working for American Flyers because of the amazing team atmosphere. We collaborate and support each other, always willing to help. Plus, working in some of the busiest airspace in the country, provides invaluable lessons for students.

What I love most about training new pilots is the unique challenge each student brings—their personalities, backgrounds, and learning styles make every experience rewarding. There’s nothing better than seeing a student hit their stride when the method clicks. Working at American Flyers has pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. I didn’t see myself as a teacher before, but instructing has revealed new skills and given me the privilege to be part of each pilot’s journey.
