Our comprehensive Sport Pilot – Airspace Training Course is structured to teach safety and proficiency in compliance with the new MOSAIC rules. The curriculum is built around the FAA’s performance standards, focusing on advanced ATC communication protocols, controlled airport operations, and seamless, safe airspace transitions. We instill the decision-making skills required for safety and competence in multiple airspace environments.
Approximately 6–8 Hours
To legally and safely exercise the new ability to operate in controlled airspace—specifically Class B, C, and D — a pilot must first develop a firm foundation in the National Airspace System and ATC communication procedures for controlled airport operations. These necessary aviation fundamentals are covered in ground training sessions.
Approximately 9 Hours / 3 Flights
The Flight Training portion of the Sport Pilot – Airspace Training Course ensures you possess the necessary aeronautical experience and skill to consistently and proficiently manage all controlled airspace operations required for the endorsement. This portion of the course ensures you meet the FAA’s standard for safe integration into complex operational environments.
