AMERICAN FLYERS SPOTLIGHT

What I value most about working for American Flyers is the camaraderie and support among the staff. While the focus on safety and maintenance is a plus, it’s my peers who truly stand out.  I love helping students reach that “aha” moment in training, when a difficult concept finally clicks. I hope to eventually fly more complex, faster aircraft and am considering pursuing my MEI and ATP. Instructing is something I really enjoy, so airline training and mentorship are things I’d love to pursue in the future.

I love working at American Flyers because of my great coworkers and the well-maintained aircraft. I hope to one day fly internationally, either with a charter service or an airline, and I’m excited to start my multi-engine training soon to help me reach that goal. One of my favorite parts of training new pilots is seeing when the “dots connect” for them—the moment they finally get it, and the transformation into a confident pilot begins.

I have been a CFI at American Flyers for almost a year and, I love the culture here—everyone on the team is so friendly. Another great part of working at American Flyers is the weather and reliable planes. In a few months, I plan to start training with the military to become an officer, with hopes of one day working for American Airlines. Training new pilots is amazing because I love watching their progress end and learning why they chose aviation as their career.
