Below is a list of resources to assist student pilots looking for financial scholarships. American Flyers has worked with many of these organizations to help student’s achieve their aviation goals.
The Avfuel Corporation is dedicated to supporting the next generation of aviation professionals through their Avfuel scholarship for aviation program. They offer a total of 10 scholarships throughout the year through three different scholarship programs, providing financial assistance to students who are interested in flight school and pursuing a career in aviation.
EAA’s scholarships aim to ensure that aviation continues to have strong leadership in the future by supporting students who are passionate about aviation. These scholarships provide a valuable opportunity for students to become the future’s aviation leaders, pilots, and engineers.
The AAERO aviation scholarship, offered by the Aviation Adventures for Educated & Responsible Operations, provides financial assistance to students pursuing a career in the aviation industry, with a focus on promoting safety and education. The scholarship is open to high school seniors and current college students who are enrolled in an accredited aviation program or flight school.
The LeRoy W. Homer Jr. Scholarship is for students pursuing a career in aviation and is open to those between the ages of 16 – 23 at the time of application. This program supports the next generation of young pilots and aviation professionals.
The AEROClub of New England aviation scholarship provides financial support to students in aviation that encourages excellence in flight education and training. This scholarship is exclusively open to residents of New England and is awarded to students who are enrolled in an accredited aviation program or flight school.
The Ohio Aviation Association established the Norman J. Crabtree Memorial Aviation Scholarship to honor his passion and dedication for aviation, and to support the future of Ohio’s aviation community. The areas of study include Flight Technologies, Aviation Engineering, Aviation Management, and Aviation Maintenance, and more.
The Airline Dispatchers Federation (ADF) Scholarships are designed to help students cover the cost of instruction and training to take the Aircraft Dispatch written test including books & materials, FAA written exam in addition to oral and practical test fees.
The United Aircraft Technicians Association (UAA) offers a range of scholarships to support students pursuing careers in aviation maintenance and technology. These scholarships are designed to help cover the cost of tuition, books, and other education-related expenses.
The ATCA Scholarship Fund is committed to supporting future leaders in the aviation industry by awarding scholarships to outstanding aviation students and children of air traffic controllers. In 2023, application submissions begin in March, giving eligible students the opportunity to apply for financial assistance to further their education and career aspirations in the field of aviation.

The University Aviation Association, a nonprofit organization based in Auburn, Alabama, is proud to offer a scholarship exclusively available to Native American upper-level college students and graduate students enrolled full-time in aviation/airport management programs.
The Astronaut Scholarship program is aimed at supporting students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.
