Having pioneered the use of simulator training
our students have a unique advantage

Once you have your private pilot’s certificate, the next step to flying safer and being able to enjoy the freedom to fly in and above the clouds is to get instrument rating that allows you to fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR).
American Flyers can prepare you to complete your instrument rating at a pace that fits your schedule through a regular or accelerated course. Our standardized set of procedures and techniques helps you complete your IFR training efficiently.

State of the art Frasca Simulators

The Frasca Reconfigurable Training Device (RTD) offers the most immersive flight training experience available. This flight simulator can be easily reconfigured to different aircraft configurations, and it’s durable design and easy maintenance make it an extremely reliable training tool. Using the G1000 NXi Software, the flight instructor is able to control the simulated environment (wind, temp, time of day), as well as cause simulated failures (engine, avionics, fuel) in real time.
